Get inspired when you look at this display of Columbus.
The Columbus laboratory is a crucial component of the International Space Station and is ESA’s biggest contribution to the ISS project. The first permanent European research facility in space, the laboratory offers a weightless environment that is used for scientific experiments and shared by ESA and NASA. Experiments conducted within the 75 cubic metres of laboratory include investigations into the effects of long-term space flight on humans, how liquid transforms in a microgravity environment, as well as monitoring technology when exposed to space.
