The iriss mission was ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen’s first time in space and was unique in that it was an unusually intense mission. Spanning only 10 days, Danish native Andreas flew to the ISS on a sprint mission where he worked nine and a half hour days and tested out new technology for space, specifically a suit to alleviate backache, operated a car-sized rover and used augmented reality goggles to guide him through maintenance tasks. Andreas Mogensen is Denmark’s first astronaut.
