What is ESA?

The European Space Agency (ESA) is dedicated to the peaceful exploration and use of space for the benefit of everyone. Established in 1975, we now have 22 Member States and, for more than 40 years, we have promoted European scientific and industrial interests in space. Our activities in every area of the space sector bring benefits to people in everyday life, as well as to businesses.

Our Member States work together, sharing financial and scientific resources to achieve the best results. Through Europe's Spaceport in Kourou, we provide independent access to space for scientific and commercial missions. ESA's diverse activities are all part of a clear vision for Europe in space. Space is the future and, through ESA, we are all part of it.

Who manages the ESA Space Shop?

The ESA Space Shop features the designs and logo of the European Space Agency (ESA). In 2018, we issued a tender to find the best company to develop and operate an online shop for ESA merchandise, and to manage the process from creation to delivery. The tender was won by Olly Services S.r.l., an Italy-based company that is now in charge of the project and of the current website.

ESA is not involved in the manufacturing, production or distribution of any products and disclaims any and all liability. ESA does not receive any financial consideration from the ESA Space Shop.
